Truly loving someone means trusting them even when you are scared to death of losing them– it means letting them choose even when you are afraid that you won’t be the one they choose. It means loving them even when the sparkle in their eye begins to fade and the excitement in their voice is for someone else. You cry alone because you don’t want them to know how much it hurts when they don’t look at you the same. Remembering the joy they felt from just being with you and realizing that the joy has been lost somewhere. Grasping at the least little encouragement, hoping that maybe the love has not disappeared.
