Not Finished Yet

 Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.

God has a plan—a design, a purpose, and a strategy—for the lives of His children. We may not see His plan, but God sees it. And He always has seen it.

Speaking through the prophet Isaiah, God said, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, . . . and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” (Isaiah 55:8 NLT).

God’s thoughts toward us are different from ours. They are perfect. God hates sin, but He loves us “with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).

The next time you are discouraged or worried remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11: “ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’ ” (NLT).

God has a wonderful future in store for us.

We may not know what God has in mind for us, but He knows. At the moment, our lives may not be going as we expected. But God has a plan. We are works in progress. We are under construction. He isn’t finished yet. We only see the beginning, but God sees the end from the beginning. And one day it all will come into focus.
