You Say - Lauren Daigle

The first time I heard this song was after going to the beach with Jessica, Rory, baby Mack and Sylvia. Sylvia had just recently gotten sick and had went in for tests and had been told she had cancer. They weren't sure how bad it was at that time, but she had already made peace with it by this time. I rode down with her and rode back home with her and we had an opportunity to talk about a lot of things and it was quite evident that she had peace in her heart about the apparent death sentence she had been given. She was sad that she wouldn't be there to be with her children and grandchildren or big Rory. She told me how blessed she had been to have her kids and be married to the love of her life.

While we were talking one morning and playing with little Mack she asked us if we had heard this song and she proceeded to start singing it. I took a picture of her laying in the floor looking at Mack and I thought how sad it was that she would never get to see this precious baby grow up.

This song is a reminder that God loves me, but I will always remember it as Sylvia's song.

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know

Ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, (I) oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity

Ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, (I) oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believe

Taking all I have and now I'm laying it at your feet
You have every failure God, You have every victory

Ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe, (I) oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

Oh I believe, oh
Yes I believe, oh
What You say of me
Oh I believe
